Issu du milieu de la photographie commerciale où il oeuvrait depuis 1983, il s'y est démarqué par sa poésie et son talent de créer des atmosphères. L'exploration de la peinture lui fit découvrir le pastel, médium pour lequel il a tôt eu le coup de foudre.<br> </font></b></font><font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" color="CCCC99"><b>À travers l'observation de la nature, sa démarche l'a conduit à redécouvrir sa propre nature intérieure.</b></font><font color="FF6666"><b><font color="CCCC99" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">Gilles Heppell is especially a pastellist self-taught although he completed studies in Letters and in Art history. Stemming from the environment of the commercial photography where he worked since 1983, he made there noticed by its poetry and its creator's talent of atmospheres. The practice of the painting discovered to him the pastel, the medium for which it early had passion. Through the observation of the nature, the method leads him to rediscover its own internal nature.</font></b></font> </body>
